              5 purposes of Affinity groups

-Your hobby isn’t just fun; it provides opportunities for discipleship.

-Cycling isn’t just healthy, it’s a great way to experience fellowship.

-Quilting isn’t just a passion, it can become a ministry.

-Camping isn’t just a weekend activity, it opens up our eyes to God’s greatness so we can worship.

Play dates aren’t just a break for moms, they are opportunities for evangelism.

Affinity groups are about identifying what people want or like to do and teaching them to do it on purpose. They are one of the most natural ways for groups to live out these 5 purposes!

Affinity groups teach Christ-Followers to do life on purpose.

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  ~Matt 28:19-20 (NIV)

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength…Love your neighbor as yourself. Mark 12:30-31 (NIV)

Affinity groups are fantastic catalysts for mission. Therefore go…Matt 28:19

How do you start a group?

Step 1: Meet with Pastor Jimmy to share your vision at

Step 2: Schedule a “GROUP SET-UP” time with Pastor Craig or

Nick Bower

(We will be using FaceBook groups as a primary, the meetup app as a secondary).

How do you keep up with upcoming activities?

Check the bulletin, our website, or our Facebook page.

Have an idea for another group?
Contact the church office at 610-692-1897 or email info@trinityag.og

How will the group be administrated/led?

First, each group must have a point person. The thought is buy-in from everyone from the entire group.  EVERYONE is a leader of their respective groups.

However, to administrate this (guide discussions, turn in prayer requests, communicate to the church location of meeting, etc.).

Each group MUST have a “Point Person”.

A “Point Person” MUST be a member of TAG.

To keep it simple we will have a small group guide based off that week’s sermon of that week prepared on Sunday morning for pick up at the TAG table

(Located in the corner next to the access room).

If you have a study group, there is no need to pick up a guide. You will be able to pick up an attendance/ prayer request sheet,

Prayer requests and attendance sheets must be turned to Pastor Moses at the end of your groups meeting
